This is a vintage Yamaha DX-7 FM synthesizer with SuperMax expansion installed, new internal battery, original ROM cartridge w/ famous presets such as E.piano and brass horns, original ICs, and manual. The original owner installed the expansion on their own but the original chipset will ship with the synth.

The SuperMax expansion adds a lot of great features to a classic synth. Here is a brief explanation of the SuperMax expansion:
